Major Upgrades to the PAR DPS <$

• In 1976 & 1977 two new functions are added to the PAR's software:
  • (1) PACS: PAR Attack Characterization System (1976)
  • (2) SPADATS: Space Detection and Tracking System (1977)

• In 2012 major upgrades are made to PARCS hardware including replacing the legacy Central Logic and Control (CLC) computer:
  • The 48 large cabinets are replaced by a single box about the size of one of the original cabinets (photo 7423). The new hardware runs the original software via emulation.
