PanAm Photos

These high resolution photos were originally taken by Pan American Airways as the contractor responsible for documenting the construction and activation of the SRMSC complex. Each photo was assigned a unique negative number (example: P-738-5-7).

Denis Abbott loaned 27 8x10 (and larger) prints he obtained while working as a Western Electric engineer during activation of the PAR. He also provided the descriptions used on this web site.

There are probably hundreds (thousands?) more of these somewhere; if anybody knows where, please the webmaster.
